COUNTY WEXFORD

County Wexford is located in the South East corner of the Island of Island. It is also the driest region of the country. Mainly farming country, the rich landscapes vary from mountains in the west, and mountains at the Wicklow boarders in the north. The shores to the east are sandy and to the south cliffs and large sand dunes.  The county is steeped in history and is part of the Historical East initiative by the Irish Tourist Board. The gentle climate lends itself to beautiful gardens and endless nature walks and discoveries for all the family.
